SAN Administrator (m/w)

We are currently looking for an experienced SAN Administrator.

Requirement:

Duties include the day to day support of a 24 x 7 x 365 enterprise storage systems, disk provisioning, troubleshooting, diagnosis, maintenance and service improvements. Assist in Infrastructure operations, strategy and design of data center, systems and storage technologies.

Responsibilities include monitoring client environment and alerting customer of potential issues with recommended action plans that adhere to best practices in a largely SAN environment. Heavy use of Operations Manager, Performance Advisor, and assessment tool set requiring expert level performance analysis and capacity planning experience.

Skills:

- Very good fabric knowledge (Brocade), Cisco (is a plus). (fabric oriented)
- highly skilled in Cisco Directors (Brocade knowledge as well is a good to have)
- Proficiency in configuring and administering EMC/HDS arrays
- Ability to troubleshoot performance issues on SAN Switches and storage arrays
- Strong Scripting skills using Shell and batch accompanied with excellent data-driven problem solving and analytical skills
- Demonstrated experience as part of a high performance team, skilled in persuasion, and negotiation of critical issues, along with a background of solid systems administration processes and procedures for SAN environments.
- 3-5 years of experience with enterprise SAN storage platforms
- must be fluent in English
- German on top is a nice to have
