Sample Preparation Technician Job

SAMPLE PREP TECHNICIAN needed for a ONE (1) YEAR CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Creve Coeur, MO.

Top Skills Should You Possess:
- Weighing and extracting samples for high throughput analytical process.
- Must have basic computer skills; be reliable, accurate and able to handle repetitive tasks.
- Must be a team player with a positive attitude, strong attention to detail, willing to adapt to change, reliable and flexible.
- Experience in a high-throughput environment is a plus.

What You'll Be Doing:
- You will conduct laboratory tests in accordance with ISO and in-house standards.
- Assist in any department of the laboratory as lab work flow requires. You will participate in safety programs and will need to comply with all safe work practices
- This position will be responsible for receiving samples into the lab for the different tests performed, labeling samples, grinding and counting seed, disposing of seed when testing is complete, and using a seed saw to prepare SNP Ear samples.
- Ability to work overtime/weekends during peak workloads is necessary.
- Scheduling must be flexible:
- 2 Shifts 6:30am-3pm or 9:30am-6pm

What You Need to Bring to the Table:
- B.S. Degree is a plus but not required.

Bonus Points! Otherwise Known As Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a high-throughput environment is a plus.
- Prior scientific work experience or course work is a plus.
