Salesforce.com Developer

Our client is a leading web services provider seeking an experienced Salesforce.com Developer to support the marketing organization. This role will collaborate with the marketing and Salesforce.com team to find solutions to automate processes, create transparency into marketing program performance, and provide greater visibility to key data to drive informed decisions. This role includes technical design/development, configuration, maintenance, administration, and integration with other databases/systems.

The successful candidate must be able to work directly with the system/data, lead multiple technical projects or portions at one time, as well as provide solutions that are highly usable, scalable, extensible, and maintainable on the Force.com platform. They will deal with ambiguous problems, take responsibility for finding solutions, and drive towards simple solutions to complex problems.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Develop in Visualforce, Apex, Java, AJAX, and other technologies to build customized solutions that support business requirements and drive key business decisions
- Seek out ways to utilize SFDC to improve processes and productivity, and make recommendations to support an organization scaling at a rapid pace
- Partner with SFDC team on best practices including integration and application development, deployment, testing (unit and systems), and iterative refinement

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS or related field
- 2+ years previous development experience with Salesforce.com (Certified Salesforce.com Developer)
- Solid understanding of and detailed experience with Salesforce.com architecture and API
- Detailed experience writing Visualforce and Apex classes and triggers
- Proficiency in HTML, XML, Flex, JavaScript, ASP, SQL, Java or C++, SOAP-based web services
- Experience using Salesforce data tools (Data Loader, Excel Connector, DemandTools, Eclipse Force.com IDE)
- Strong understanding of relational databases and has developed a competency around MS SQL Server, MySQL, or Oracle
- Demonstrative success with at least one large Salesforce.com integration project
- Experience integrating Salesforce.com with other applications via Real Time, batch, sync/async
- Experience with scripted data loader, web services, cloud or on-premise Middleware and other enterprise integrating technologies
- Strong business analysis and functional experience, including requirements gathering, creating/deploying solutions to end users
- Technical project management experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS or related field
- Certified Force.com Developer (DEV-401) or equivalent experience
- Certified Force.com Advanced Developer (DEV-501) or equivalent experience
- Certified Salesforce.com Administrator (ADM-201) or equivalent experience
- Advanced SQL and Excel skills
- Understanding of UI design principles and best practices
- In-depth understanding of the capabilities and constraints of the SFDC CRM application coupled with good understanding of the business processes (Sales, Marketing, Partner Management, etc.)
- Professional experience in a test-driven and formal QA development environment, including development/staging/production (or similar) deployment cycles
- Knowledge of Agile development practices, particularly sprint planning and assessment
