Salesforce Developer

Our client is one of the top three consumer E-commerce businesses, the largest online travel service in the world and the fourth largest US travel agency. Over 1, 000 Lodging Partner Services and Destination Services staff members use the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool, Salesforce.com. This application manages the relationship and operational needs of over 35, 000 supplier partners. The candidate in this contract position would support the continued growth of the Salesforce.com application throughout this client's organization.

The successful candidate must be a self-starter, able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, own deliverables end-to-end, prioritize workload effectively, and thrive in a dynamic environment. This individual must also work well under pressure to meet ongoing and overlapping deadlines within short time constraints. The candidate will work closely with various business teams to create and build functional operational support through the Salesforce.com application. Candidates must possess the ability to understand business requirements and processes and build workable solutions in Salesforce.com

OVERVIEW

- Support various groups in taking full advantage of custom-built functionality in Salesforce.com to manage their business processes
- Build customized solutions in Salesforce.com and associated systems that support business requirements and processes
- Work with groups to understand their business processes and requirements
- Translate business requirements into logical, component-based technical designs
- Define technical solutions in Salesforce.com to support business work processes
- Create design and technical specification documentation
- Drive resolution of all issues that come up during development phase
- Perform unit testing of all code written
- Clearly communicate project status to key stakeholders throughout entire development process
- Maintain daily processes of import file updates, rate email notifications, and user technical support
- Contribute on select projects through the software development life cycle, understanding business requirements, implementation, and support
- Provide ongoing code-level maintenance and support for Global Supply Operations Salesforce.com user group

REQUIREMENTS

- 2+ years previous development experience with Salesforce.com at an enterprise level
- Experience with Visualforce and APEX
- Detailed knowledge of Salesforce.com architecture
- Experience using Salesforce.com data tools (Data Loader, Excel Connector)
- Development skills in HTML, Java, and SQL
- Experience writing SOQL and SOSL queries
- Familiarity with the Agile release cycle
- Experience with integration, Salesforce to Salesforce or Informatica, etc. highly desired
- SalesForce 401 or 501 certificate highly desired
- Ability to communicate with all levels within the organization
- Team-oriented but able to work autonomously
- Ability to work well under pressure and maintain deadlines
- Excellent communication abilities across an organization

This contract position is expected to be 4 months in duration with the possibility of extension.
