Our Client built the global standard for technical real estate, developing a unique capability to acquire, manage, and scale data center campuses. Fort its further expansion we are looking for you as Sales Manager Datacentre (f/m) located in the Frankfurt Office in unlimited permanent employment.

The market for outsourced data centre services is increasingly competitive, with a significant number of providers delivering high quality, low cost solutions. The Sales Manager Germany must drive sales of the full portfolio of services and products across all EMEA locations, with a specific focus on developing the German market. The role is responsible for applying expert product and sales knowledge to increase market opportunities and to meet/exceed sales targets. The primary focus of this role is to maximise growth through the acquisition of new customers and drive profitability through the selective targeting of such customers. Key success criteria in this role includes the ability to build the business across the whole portfolio (Colocation to Scale) targeting sales pursuits for new and existing customers. Functional knowledge, operational understanding, strategic thinking, and communication are critical skills for success in this role. This role represents a senior position within the sales team.

Responsibilities:

* This position will have a strong focus on developing business in the German market. This means selling the product and services into our properties in Frankfurt as well as selling our global portfolio to German companies.
* The creation and development of sales opportunities across the entire portfolio of products and services; from Service Exchange through to colocation deals through to multi mega-watt scale projects.
* Develop strategic relationships with both new and existing customers, through a proactive, solution-sales approach that captures an increased share of IT spend.
* Work closely with Sales Engineering to perform pre-sales feasibility assessments to fully understand clients business needs and to optimise service offering.
* Work within a defined set of customers and prospects to generate incremental revenue from first point of contact all the way to close.
* Proactive development of opportunities across the entire European footprint within EMEA; with a key focus on Frankfurt.
* Proactive development of opportunities with customers for requirements in the US and Asia-Pacific regions.
* Identify, engage and win new customers in a targeted and focused way aligning to the wider business strategy.
* Present the brand in a professional manner at all times, creating compelling, win-win solutions for all customers.
* Develop and deliver sales plans that optimise the win probability and allow tracking and simple stakeholder engagement.
* Provide continuous feedback and input to the sales strategy to ensure we have a clearly defined and executable value proposition.
* Collaborate and actively engage across the business, reinforcing a respected internal Sales brand that ensures that customers expectations are delivered against.
* Actively participate in sales initiatives and marketing campaigns.

Qualifications:

* Proven track record of successful sales and a strong network in the German market
* Proven sales experience in Data Centre, Telecoms, IT or Cloud Services experience is preferred.
* Proven successful experience of achieving sales targets and generating sound commercial deals.
* Strong business focus and clear understanding of the economic, regulatory and IT challenges facing our customers.
* Consistent track record of over achievement against targets throughout career and able to demonstrate significant IT / Telco deals.
* Able to build rapport quickly and engage at all levels (including C-Level where necessary) within customer base and experienced solution selling.
* Extremely collaborative leader with ability to be flexible and creative; with a ;can-do attitude.
* Cultural fit is crucial; motivated to work at a company that focuses on customers, excellence, talent, teamwork and success.
* Strong personal planning and forecasting process and demonstrable organisational skills.
* Strong communicator both oral and written, with the requisite Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint) to underpin that.
* Driven and results oriented, with an ability to succeed either alone or in teams.
* Passion for the technology industry, future developments and internet of things.
* Fluent German speaker as well as fluent in English
