Six Month Contract
Base Location,Newport, South Wales (with Travel)
Outline
Deliver Services sales in line with agreed targets
Securing and performing Sales management tasks within the scope of the business capture strategy and operational goals of the person's Sales vertical.
Work with the marketing team to secure the optimum positioning of marketable products/programs/services of the business unit
Ensuring coordinated customer processing throughout the Clients business unit.
Sales
Primary responsibility is for the delivery of sales against personal business targets
within those market sectors identified by the business lead. Sales activities will be
performed and controlled to achieve the planned order intake in line with the economic
goals of the Client in the UK. Therefore, the job will ensure efficient acquisition by content to the total acquisition step process, in particular:
Craft and maintain customer relationship management
Identify business opportunities
Lead capture
Input to Bid/no bid decision
Support buying centre analysis, with strategy, etc
Input resource projection
Input to commercial financing and offset offer preparation
Support to contract negotiations
Support commercial in post contract problem issues
Skills and Experience
Key Skills/Product Knowledge
Proven track record of sales delivery in professional services environment (preferably security and services related. PSN and other Government Framework success would be advantageous)
Requirement for Sales Managers who have significant sales experience & knowledge in the appropriate domain (Government/Enterprise)
New Business/"Hunter" mentality and proven experience
Dynamic, agile & flexible with a 'start up' mentality & culture
Overarching knowledge of Cyber Security & Information Assurance capability/trends,
Results-oriented
Content to work on a "win and retain" basis
Articulate & commercially savvy
Be able to hold a UK security clearance
Interpersonal:
Build a strong relationship with customers & influencing Stakeholders
Maintain a vibrant customer network
Team-oriented
Coordinated customer processing throughout the acquisition life cycle
Provide good communication to the capability function on customer perception of the Cyber Products and Services.
Provide clear and effective feedback to other team members relating to sales discussions and customer engagements
Leadership:
Leadership of targeted sales campaigns involving direction to multiple internal stakeholder ie Bid Teams and demonstration teams
Drive coordination between industry partners
Problem Solving and Analysis:
Experience of solving complex business problems
Understanding customers real requirements, issues & drivers
Ability to translate these customer needs into 'Hot Buttons' that differentiate Clients offering
Analysis of key trends in the market and ability to provide strategic recommendation on the focus & direction of Campaigns
Ability to turn a technical capability into a business proposition
Technical Expertise:
Ability to understand key technical principals relating to Clients products & solutions
Requirement to articulate complex technical principals into digestible language/presentations to secure optimum positioning of products, programs, services of the Client
Sector/Industry Knowledge:
Knowledge of key Sector trends, customers & needs of target market sectors
Security/IT Background
Knowledge of competitors including developing strategies to maximise discriminators
Commercial Awareness:
Commercially aware of the acquisition life cycle in target customer markets ie Defence, Government & enterprise
Understanding of different business models for selling APT and SOC Products and Services including APT and SOC.
