Sales Lead
Six month Contract, Newport, South Wales

The Integrated System Sales Lead is accountable for leading the delivery of new IS UK business.

This responsibility falls into two broad categories:

Securing agreed business opportunities in the UK central government market.
key relationships with customers; identifying/developing new opportunities and providing outline technical solutions to fill the opportunities. Ensuring these opportunities are progressed up to an including Gate.

Responsibilities

*Accountable for securing agreed IS UK sales opportunities to achieve Order Intake targets for IS in the UK in the Central Government Sector
*Responsible for Customer senior stakeholder management (in a business growth capacity)
*Responsible for promotion of Clients capabilities within the customer (direct and indirect) environment.
*Responsible for coordination of the sales relationships
*Responsible for identifying new business through growth on existing programmes and gaining new Customers
*Responsible for liaising with internal project teams to identify possible growth opportunities.
*Responsible for working with the Clients sales teams to support opportunities that are related to current defence programmes or deliverables
*The support of revenue and margin in service projects
*Establish, develop and maintain a stable, long-term customer network and long-term customer loyalty, to continue in the post contract signing period.
*Identify potential partnerships and alliances including industrial co-operations

Skills and Experience

The successful applicant will have the following skills, experience and knowledge:

*Extensive sales experience within the IT, Government and/or Security sector
*Overarching knowledge of Clients IS portfolio
*A hunger to sell and win business

Interpersonal:
*Build a strong relationship with customers and influencing stakeholders
*Maintain a vibrant customer network
*Co-ordinated customer processing throughout the acquisition life cycle

Leadership:
*Leadership of targeted sales campaigns involving direction to multiple internal stakeholders ie bid teams and demonstration teams
*Drive co-ordination between industry partners

Problem solving and analysis:
*Experience of solving complex business problems
*Understanding customers real requirements, issues and drivers
*Ability to translate these customer needs into 'hot buttons' that differentiate Client's offerings
*Analysis of key trends in the market and ability to provide strategic recommendation on the focus and direction of the Clients campaigns

Technical Expertise:
*Ability to understand key technical principles relating to Clients products and solutions
*Requirement to articulate complex technical principles into digestible language/presentations to secure optimum positioning of products, programmes, services of Client

Sector/Industry knowledge
*Knowledge of key trends, customers and needs of target market sectors
*Security/IT background
