Sales Director

My clients a well known IT and telecommunications solutions provider are now looking for a new sales director to cover the Telco area of their business. The successful candidate will report into the VP of sales, working alongside the sales director for IT managed services to create a strategy for the two departments to work in unison. There by enabling the company to deliver fantastic solutions across the board from networking and unified communications to infrastructure.

You will be required to develop and implement sales strategies around new and existing business opportunities and achieve corporate financial objectives through your team of 15 sales managers by accurately forecasting and managing their performance.

Key Responsibilities:

- Establish customer relationships at executive level,
- Account Management
- Development and execution of Regional and Local account/new business plans
- Develop key strategies and plans to meet sales objectives
- Accurate forecasting and reporting to corporate sales management.
- Accountable for a quarterly Order budget.
- Other duties as assigned.

Necessary Qualifications and Experience Required:

- BS/MS degree in computer science/ communications etc.
- Minimum of 15 years' experience in the Telecom Market
- A proven sales record with p60 proof of overachievement in the last five years ideally
- Knowledge of network architecture, unified communications, contact centres and LAN/WAN
- Experience of planning and managing at both the strategic and operational levels
- Fantastic interpersonal skills
- Minimum 10 years of experience in sales, presales or similar areas ideally in the telco industry.
- Successful sales record in theUK
- Personal contacts at C level in other UC institutes and large SIs.
