Sage Finance Analyst

My client based in West Midlands are currently recruiting for a finance analyst due to fast internal growth.

Key Responsibilities:
The role has specific responsibility for working with the tax and legal teams to provide finance business partner support for the on-going internal restructurings forming part of the integration of Client and Cadbury.
The role will also provide financial support for the repatriation of cash through the UK holdings group. Repatriations of cash typically are of the quantum of £1bn+ and all restructuring activity involves the movement of businesses, loans and other assets of very significant values (typically £100m+). This will also require production of interim accounts.
Focussing on the preparation of approximately 20 sets of statutory accounts (including companies and limited liability partnership) this will include the completion of excel files containing all workings as well as the production of the statutory accounts in Sage.
Act as a key contact for all financial matters relating to our portfolio of properties and support the facilities team as and when required.
The role is based in BV and requires an ability to work independently and to be comfortable making decisions in the absence of the UK Financial & Statutory Accounting Manager.
To support the UK Financial & Statutory Accounting Manager to define, implement, maintain and monitor appropriate financial procedures and SOX compliant controls for the UK entities
To own and manage the P&L and BS for many of the UK holding entities in respect of monthly reporting, statutory reporting and forecasting and budgeting and to ensure adherence to all appropriate guidance and GAAP in each case to business partner global tax, legal and accounting colleagues in the delivery of global repatriations and restructurings as required
To maintain as simple and efficient a legal entity structure in the UK as is possible by monitoring and assisting with the creation and liquidation of entities as the UK holding structure evolves
To lead the preparation of approximately 20 sets of statutory accounts, liaising with auditors, company secretarial and other partners as appropriate
To be a technical expert in the areas of repatriations and restructuring in the UK holding structure

Experience Required:

Educated to Degree Level (or equivalent)
Qualified or part qualified accountant

Experience Preferred:

Experience working in statutory accounts preferred
