Safety Manager

Electrical power generation client is currently seeking an EHS Programmatic Lead to assist in the development of a comprehensive and executable environmental health and safety (EHS) plan at Oconee Nuclear Station in Seneca, SC. This is a 1 year CONTRACT position, with the possibility of extension. Local candidates preferred but per diem will be available for qualified candidates.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Sponsor change management plan to align nuclear fleet EHS programs with Oconee Major Projects (OMP) organization
- Collaborate with fleet Major Projects safety professionals to ensure constancy and compliance with programs and ensure lessons learned and good practices are incorporated across the fleet
- Oversee development and dissemination of safety communications for the OMP organization
- Oversee the OMP Job Hazard Elimination (JHE) and Job Hazard Assessment (JHA) programs

REQUIREMENTS

- Familiar with OSHA regulations and possess a working knowledge of occupational safety, health and environmental regulations related to construction, maintenance, and power generation
- Minimum 5 years experience in power generation, maintenance, or industrial safety
- BS Degree
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) credentials desired
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certificate a plus
