Safety Health and Environmental Specialist (SHE) Job

SAFETY HEALTH AND ENVIRONMENTAL SPECIALIST (SHE) needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Palo Alto, CA.

What you'll be doing:
- Ability to interpret guidelines, regulations and legislation applicable to safety data sheets (SDS) and product labeling requirements
- Knowledge of current regulations impacting SDS requirements worldwide: REACH, CLP, GHS, etc.
- Understand the regulations that apply to the preparation, publication and distribution of SDS and e-SDS
- Serve as an in-house expert for SDS and labeling issues
- Ability to understand technical and regulatory areas pertaining to Industrial Biosciences products and general R&D scientific methods
- Evaluate SDS and label implications of process changes
- Respond to customer questionnaires

What You Need to Bring to the Table:
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a science field and two to seven (2-7) years of experience in safety data sheets
- Excellent planning, organizational and communication skills
- Ability to stay focused working in independent working environment
- Experience working for a global organization in a multicultural environment is preferred
- Knowledge of SDS software (eg The Wercs):desirable
- Competency in computer/software tools
