The Company:
The recruiting company is a major defence organisation with employees in France, the United Kingdom, Italy, Germany and the United States. It specialises in missiles and missile systems and works with over 90 armed forces worldwide.

Generation of safety programme plans commensurate with the requirements of DEF-STAN 00-56, and supporting the project in obtaining the agreement of such programmes with the customer.
Conduct a series of system and sub-system safety activities in support of these plans during all life cycle phases including, but not limited to:
Hazard Identification exercises (SWIFT and HAZOP).
Hazard management and risk analysis, including Fault Tree and event tree analysis.
Construction of safety arguments and ALARP statements.
Provide support to internal and external project Safety Panels and Committees.
With the safety focal points, assist in the management and integration of these activities with system engineering and design programs to ensure the timely delivery of material supporting the safety case.
Liaison with other functions in order to derive safety requirements and hazards.

Specific responsibilities of this role include:
Working with systems team in order to demonstrate satisfaction of safety and reliability requirements
Effective programme delivery despite working on multiple programmes simultaneously
Maintaining technical excellence whilst under time and cost pressure
Balancing own work load delivery with need to improve own and others technical skills

Skills and Knowledge:
Candidate will be expected to work with systems teams in order to demonstrate satisfaction of safety requirements.
