Ruby on Rails/JavaScript Developer - 6 Month Contract - Amsterdam

My client are a global consultancy have been tasked to deliver a cutting edge project for their client based in Amsterdam. The client is looking for an experienced Back End and Front End Ruby/JavaScript web developer to contribute to the architecture, design, development, test and integration of web-based data monitoring tools. The developer will work closely with the client's various system owners, operations, development, integration and test teams.

Key skills and experience;
Strong experience and understanding of architecting, re-architecting, and scaling of both new and existing web applications
Strong knowledge of development life cycles, coding standards, code reviews, distributed revision control systems, continuous test/build/deploy and production support.
Strong experience with Ruby and Ruby on Rails framework
Strong JavaScript and NodeJS skills and able to develop complex UI components
Experience with Unix based systems.
Experience with web services development and usage (XML and JSON formats).
Strong database knowledge both SQL and NoSQL.
