Ruby on Rails Development Contract for Nation-wide Application

We're looking for a Ruby on Rails Developer to join a small dynamic team on either a contract basis in Reading.

You'll be working in a friendly, fun, fast paced environment, where your work has a huge impact on the company's success. The perfect candidate will have experience building web applications and also the ability to learn and apply new technologies.

What you'll do:

- Write reliable code at a good speed in an agile SCRUM environment
- Participate in code reviews, create and practice coding standards
- Participate in application testing
- Deploy into production (out-of-hours) and be a member of our out of hours support rota

Skills & Requirements:

- Ruby, Rails, Capistrano, HTML, CSS, Javascript, JQuery-Rails, Backbone.js (or similar), MySQL, Cucumber, Rspec, Git, Jira, Apache, Linux (or Ubuntu)
- At least 2 years of RoR coding experience
- Knowledge of the full technology stack and a desire to dive into any part of the code that needs work
- An eye for detail
- The ability to work among multiple teams and communicate effectively to both technical and non-technical teammates
- A passion for gaining and sharing knowledge
