Ruby on Rails Developer / Engineer - contract / Perm - Berkshire / Oxford / London Salary: + £50K + benefits Contract rate: neg (DoE)

My client is looking for experienced (RoR) Ruby on Rails developers to join their large team of developers, engineers and designers at their sites in London, Berkshire and Oxford.

As an experienced Ruby on Rails Developer / Engineer, you will be working on multiple exciting new Rails projects and want to encourage you to bring your ideas and experience to the team.

My client is the undoubtedly the largest social network you've probably never heard of. You'll work in a stylish, social office, alongside over 100 other people - not just developers

You'll need the following skills/attributes:

• +4 years Ruby on Rails (solid, commercial experience)

• MySQL (or RDBMS)

• Knowledge of JavaScript using JQuery or Prototype.

• Ability to write clean, semantic, well-formed HTML and CSS.

• Proficiency with Linux/Unix server commands.

• Scrum, Kanban and are always aiming to improve skills together.

Desirable:

• TDD and BDD

• Agile work environment experience

• Links to open source projects or blogs you've written on.

• Previous social networking projects

• ColdFusion, Perl
