Ruby on Rails Developer

Ruby on Rails Developers Required! Ruby on Rails projects based in Reading and Scotland.

My client are large media company based in Reading and Stirling. They are in need of a Senior Ruby on Rails Developer to work on a range of ground-breaking projects. They are in need Developers with demonstrable experience in building exciting and innovative applications.

Desired Skills & Experience
Successful applicants should be fluent in Ruby and have a grounding in one or more of the following: PHP, Python or Java.

Other must haves:

Experience using distributed version control systems as part of the daily development work flow (we use Git, but experience on any will do)

* Experience in integration with Enterprise Web Services
* Knowledge of TDD and BDD principles
* A considerate, pragmatic approach to development using Ruby on Rails

Experience in the following is a bonus:

* Mentoring and guiding Junior Developers
* Inputting into team standards and approaches
* DevOp skills in either OS X or Linux
* Experience with applying Agile principles and methodologies.
* We test using RSpec and Cucumber with Behaviour Driven Development, but any test driven development experience will be considered
* Exposure to cloud computing environments and related operations
