Ruby Developer - Ecommerce - Ruby on Rails - Java - Clojure

RUBY DEVELOPER - ECOMMERCE - RUBY ON RAILS

Ruby Developer required with exposure to web based technologies. The successful applicant will work within a complex development environment including Clojure, Java and Ruby to deliver successful Client projects, including enhancements to the client's Spree Commerce. The successful candidate will also be involved in Developing custom Controller Commands and performing the maintenance and modification of programs currently in production. Code new applications from predefined program specifications.

This is a key role working for a global commerce service provider responsible for the delivery and support of a large number of high profile eCommerce applications which require someone of excellent technical ability looking to make their mark in a diverse and expanding team.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

MANDATORY EXPERIENCE:

- Full project life cycle experience in delivering complex, high volume applications preferably Internet based
- Solid Ruby on Rails programming skills, 18 months+
- Experience of Spree Commerce
- Experience of designing, developing and integrating with RESTful Web Services
- Experience of working in an Agile (Scrum, TDD)
- Good SQL skills, exposure to MySQL
- Hands-on experience with Unix based systems including Perl and bash Scripting
- Experience of Web technologies such as Javascript, CSS, HTML, XHTML

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

- Working knowledge of MongoDB would be beneficial
- Experience within a J2EE development is welcomed
- Previous experience of E-commerce solutions highly desired
