RPG AS 400 Programmer

SENIOR PROGRAMMER/RPG/AS400/SQL/RATIONAL ROBOT/SQLRPG/KATALOQ
PROJECT/ROLE:
Due to a large book of work ITech Consult AG are seeking a person for our locally based distribution client that can support with their team with solid RPG programming skills plus strong SQL and Automation "Rational Robot" background too. From flexibility to friendly co-workers who are eager to collaborate with you, this exciting position has it all. Use your SQL skills. The ideal person should have fluent German or French but must have excellent English documentation and communication skills. You will work directly with the IT Manager.
MAIN TASKS (BUT LIMITED TOO):
- Develop new and enhance existing catalogues
- SQLRPG, RPG-400, RPG ILE, designing and testing of AS400 database, data transfers, and data mappings; supporting end user training manual documentation and handling the AS400 batch and interactive jobs.
- Test software performance and consult with others
REQUIREMENTS:
- Professional experience with the RPG400 programming language
- Minimum 1 years recent experience with automation tools like Rational Robot
- Excellent SQL skills
- Ability to write program specification and coding from program specifications is required.
- Clean code delivery
- Test software performance and bug fixes
- Good Team player skills (enjoys working in a fast paced environment
EDUCATION:
- Must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Technology, Computer Information Systems, Computer Applications, Engineering, or a related field, plus 5 years of experience
LANGUAGES:
- German or French at C2 level
- English is a must
