Rotational Rig Manager, West Africa

With over 100 years experience as an international oil and gas drilling contractor, a unique opportunity has arisen with my client for an experienced Rig Manager to work on one of their West African MODUs. Responsible for cost effective and efficient management of all operations on the rig, and for the safety and wellbeing of all personnel, the rig manager will report directly to the Regional Manager/Operations Manager. Key responsibilities include: * Ensure the management of assigned operations meet contractual quality and performance criteria. * Provide effective supervision to the Rig Crew, particularly to those with delegated responsibilities. * Execute well programmes with efficiency and in a proper and safe manner in accordance with company, client and local regulations and guidelines. * Supply timely and appropriate liaison on all key issues with the Operations Manager. * Conduct technical reviews of all drilling programmes, and inform the client of any required improvements, concerns and remedial actions. * Accurately record and report all incidents and accidents in line with company policy, and promote safe working practices to minimise risk and prevent these from occurring. * Ensure maintenance of the rig is accordance with industry standard, and that all appropriate certifications are up to date. * Liaise with management on all matters affecting contract interpretation and deal with these matters as directed * Conduct performance reviews for rig personnel and evaluate in line with contracted requirements * Support other offshore supervisors, specifically with human resource utilisation and development. * Initiate investigations and remedial actions on equipment, structural or system failures affecting the rigs under his authority. * Ensure the timely requisition of all materials, equipment and services to the correct specification for the execution of well operations. * Manage the annual budget for their operations and strive to meet the financial targets set by the Company.
