Risk Reporting and Insight Manager - Contract

Our client, a large retail banking organisation is looking to recruit an experienced candidate to join a loan and risk management team in London.  The ideal candidate will come from a technical SQL/SAS background and be comfortable leading a small development team.

SKILLS REQUIRED

- Requires SAS and SQL experience, preferable on Mainframe systems.
- Experience of risk reporting and data management.
- Strong retail product knowledge - personal loans, mortgages, credit cards and current accounts.
- Comfortable managing a small team of developers
- Strong communication skills
- Able to lead and motivate team members
- Candidate must come from a retail banking background

- Evidence of risk mitigation and control 
- Demonstrates understanding of control weaknesses in own area and implements effective plans to address 
- All material events escalated in accordance with group policy. 
- Ability to interpret complex data and apply advanced numerical techniques is key, and familiarity with statistical methods is expected. 
- Job holders will be expected to liaise effectively with colleagues within the team and across partnering business functions such as finance, marketing and collections and will be able to communicate their conclusions and recommendations persuasively to colleagues and senior management. 
- An ability to work on their own initiative, identifying areas of focus, with prioritisation of own workloads is necessary. 
- Good networking skills with the ability to build relationships and have an understanding of the broader business needs and issues 
- Expected to lead, motivate, develop and appraise other team members as required.
