Risk Modelling/Regulatory Manager - Cardiff or Stockport - £300-£365 p

Our client, a large banking organisation is looking to recruit two experienced candidates to take on a Senior Managers role within Risk Modelling. The main purpose of the role will be to support the Senior Manager, Risk Modelling in relation to key project activities that need to be undertaken due to the change in regulator for consumer credit activity. 

The key roles and responsibilities are as follows: 
- To review FCA handbook and other publications and establish which are relevant to the business and then interpret the requirements that the business have to comply with. 
- To support the business in delivering solutions to comply with FCA requirements. 
- To support the Senior Manager in producing applications for authorisation to be submitted to the FCA, including applications for approved persons status - this will involve liaising with the business areas to gather the information required, validating the information supplied and ensuring robust enough to support the application. This will also involve producing more detailed sign off packs to provide Senior Management with the wider context and to give Senior Management confidence in the information contained in the application prior to them approving the application. 

The key skills/knowledge required are as follows: 
Good knowledge and experience of financial services industry. 
Detailed knowledge of regulatory & FCA requirements 
Ability to analyse and assess business practices against regulatory requirements, challenging existing approaches and using understanding and experience to measure compliance making recommendations for potential actions required where appropriate. 
Stakeholder and relationship management skills with ability to influence and persuade at all levels and across different audiences
