Risk Manager - Commodities Trading - Geneva

Location:Geneva

Salary: 180,000 - 230,000 CHF

Progressive Global Energy and Natural Resources is currently representing a Trading organisation, part of an International Energy Group with interests across: Upstream, Downstream and Midstream Oil and Gas Industries. Following a recent redistribution of responsibilities, they are now seeking an experienced professional to join them in the capacity of a Risk Manager.

Your main role will be to ensure appropriate valuation of positions and provision of daily Risk and Performance Information to the Trading desks and Senior Management. In addition to this you will also be the main point of contact on matters that concern: liaison with Legal Firms, contracts negotiation. In addition to this you would also provide support for KYC, new counterparty review, compliance process as well as keeping the Corporate data accurate to fulfil the requirements of potential new suppliers. You will also play a key role in establishing procedures for monitoring risk exposure.

Your experience will cover:

- 10-15 years working in the Commodities Trading Business, ideally working with one of the well known Trading Corporations in a Risk Management capacity ( Risk Advisor, Risk Controller, Risk Manager, etc.)
- Detailed knowledge of Risk Management techniques and their application in Commodity Markets
- Thorough knowledge/background in Law, particularly in terms of being able to rework and analyse contracts( export/import), liaise and negotiate with Legal firms
- Proficiency in using adequate Industry terminology
- Proficiency in French and English
- Knowledge of VBA and SQL/Business Objects
