Risk Manager - Advice

RISK MANAGER

We are currently looking for a risk manager to work for a large FS company in the North West. We are looking for a risk manager to work as part of the Consumer governance team working with the Governance and Risk Manager to support and develop the risk and control activity ensuring Consumer's obligations are met.

RISK MANAGER RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Collate monthly operational risk MI and report for Consumer.
- Maintain and develop KRIs; review KRI information and include in risk reporting.
- Ensures all risk reporting is produced to a high standard in a timely manner.
- Monitor and report progress against actions by control/action owners which have arisen as part of the Risk and Control Self-Assessment process.
- Monitor and report Consumer operational risks, liaising with Capita and CFSMSL, and monitoring activity relating to issues.
- Maintain Risk Registers and Controls Alive spreadsheet.
- Deliver change activity to improve governance and controls in Consumer.
- Participate in the delivery of change in Consumer to ensure that appropriate controls are considered and in place, and that impact on operational risk is considered.
- Review planned audit activity/update schedule and report deviation to leadership.

RISK MANAGE EXPERIENCE/SKILL SET:

- Understanding of the Consumer business and the industry, and the associated legislative and regulatory environment
- Understanding or process, risk and control management and assessment techniques, and how they can be applied to deliver outcomes for customers, regulators and the business
- Understanding and application of the 3 lines of defence framework, risk management framework, control risk self-assessment process
- Knowledge of Consumer's conduct risk obligations and application of these in day to day activities.
- Proven analytical skills; able to think laterally and conceptually.
