Lockheed Martin UK - Ampthill currently employs around 800 employees and is the largest wholly owned Lockheed Martin site in the UK.

Programme Operations employ in the region of 900 personnel consisting of Programme Managers, Control Account Managers, Master Planners, Risk Managers, Programme and Administration Support personnel these personnel are deployed to various programmes across the site.

Specific Job Description:

The Risk & Opportunity Manager will provide Risk & Opportunity management support to either a single complex programme or across a number of projects within a business area. The Risk & Opportunity Manager will work directly with the project teams in the development & maintenance of Risk & Opportunity registers covering complex Design & Development, as well as support & production.

The risk and opportunity register contains the known cost, schedule and technical risk and opportunity, the Riskmanages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.

Typical Minimum Education & Experience:

Ideally require a Bachelors degree from an accredited college and capability typically achieved through proven professional experience. Will also consider individuals with equivalent experience/combined education. Considered experienced, but still a learner.
