RISK Analyst/Quant-Commodities & Trading-Geneva

In order to face the growth of the department, the Head of Risk Management is looking for a Risk analyst/Quant, having a first experience of 2-4 years in energy (ideally in oil) trading risk management and a good understanding of physical oil trading activities.

The ROLE

You will report to the Head of Risk Management and your main duties will be:

* Manage P&L and exposure for your portfolio (+ analysis the connections between market factors, fundamentals and risk round portfolio)
* Compliance with the company policies and limits
* Analyze market positions and figures through modeling techniques to find VAR measures
* Ensure quantitative analysis, market analysis and interpretation on daily risk reporting
* Daily use of ETRM software and financial packages-tools
* Work in a close collaboration with traders (trading transactions analysis)
* Efficient use of the financial package and software
* Ad hoc projects and know how sharing within the Risk department (development, support to the Head of Risk, support to the Risk team members, etc.)

The PROFILE

* You have a Master/University degree + a Quant background
* You have a working experience of 2-4 years in a middle office or in a Risk Management department (within an oil or energy trading company)

* You have an excellent knowledge of MS Excel
* You can use proficiently VBA and SQL programming+ MATLAB and/or C++
* Fluency in English (excellent written and oral communication skills)
* You are detail oriented, accurate and proactive
* You have very good communication and interpersonal skills
* You are team player, able to work and interact with different departments and at different levels within the company
* You are an analytical and conceptual thinker and you can respect deadlines
