Risk Analyst Consultant

My client, a prestigious Insurance organisation based in London are currently looking to recruit an experienced Risk Consultant or Risk Analyst within a complex Solvency II programme. The Risk Analyst/Risk Consultant will be responsible for reviewing and implementing changes to Risk Direction and Appetite; Policies and Procedures; ORSA (Own Risk Solvency Assessment). The Risk Analyst/Risk Consultant will report to the organisations CRO and SII Programme Manager.

The consultant will hold the below Responsibilities and Accountabilities (Not limited to):

Provide operational risk management support within the overall business and to individual business units

Interpret and design implementation approaches for the adoption of new risk policies and procedures where required to support compliance with Solvency II requirements

Undertake gap analysis and business requirements gathering activities as required by the programme, working closely in particular with the Actuarial and IT & Data work-streams

Work with IT to shape technical requirements where appropriate including discussions around analytical tools

Support solution design activity within the programme and support Training and Awareness activity from planning to implementation

Actively support Communications activity within and across the business in relation to supporting achievement of SII programme objectives.

Skills and Experience Required

Experienced operational risk professional or analyst with a good understanding of Solvency II including practical experience of implementing risk related policies and procedures

Experience of working as part of Solvency II programmes/projects desirable

Strong understanding of identifying and capturing business requirements

A good awareness and understanding of risk analytical tools

Comfortable working in a Hands on environment

Contract management experience a bonus

Good inter-personal skills and capable of working with business stakeholders at all levels.

Day Rate: £500 - £550 per day

Contract Length: 12 months

Location: London
