Risk Analyst (ARM)

OUR KEY RAIL CLIENT REQUIRES A RISK ANALYST WITH EXPERIENCE USING ARM TO JOIN THEIR TEAM IN MILTON KEYNES ON A ROLLING CONTRACT BASIS TO PROVIDE GUIDANCE RELATING TO RISK AND VALUE MANAGEMENT TO ALL STAGES OF THE PROJECT LIFE CYCLE.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

- Manage so that risk and value management on projects complies with the requirements of the corporate procedures.
- Facilitate the identification and analysis of risks and value management and lessons learnt workshops on projects and programmes.
- Carry out qualitative, quantitative and business risk assessments to give the best advice to project managers and sponsors.
- Manage so that all projects have a RISK REGISTER, the risks are up to date, that they are regularly reviewed and that appropriate risk treatment is in place and acted upon.
- Provide regular reports to project and risk and value managers on the risk status of the projects and programmes providing advice on management of contingency.
- Establish and co-ordinate register of risk and value management activities.
- Support the risk and value management processes in other departments and areas of the business.
- Develop appropriate RISK SHARING MECHANISMS between the organisation and Contractors, and with funders.
- Refer to the Investment Competence Framework for further details of core accountabilities.

JOB SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

- APPLICANTS MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE USING ARM (ACTIVE RISK MANAGER)
- Expert in all aspects of project and business risk management facilitation.
- Able to build complicated cost, schedule and BUSINESS RISK MODELS in a number of applications.
- Able to coach and challenge management and non-specialists, the results of risk management
- Knowledge of risk management techniques.
- Knowledge of project management and project control processes.
- Membership of the Institute of Risk Management or Association for Project Management Risk Practitioner.
- Membership of the Institute of Value Management.
- Experience within the rail industry or similar would be advantageous
