RGN - Trained Chemo Nurse

MSI Nurses are currently looking to recruit qualified and experienced Chemo Nurses to work in a local Hospital based in Surrey.

Experience:
- At least 6 months UK experience
- Chemo experience
- NMC registration

Chemotherapy nurses work closely with oncologists and nuclear pharmacists who dispense the medication used for chemotherapy and medical and nursing assistants who work under the supervision of the nurse.
Chemotherapy treatment centres usually only operate during daylight hours on weekdays, but some chemotherapy centres offer 24-hour availability. At such facilities, chemotherapy nurses often work shifts that encompass evening, overnight, weekend and holiday hours (flexible nurses are encouraged further to apply).

Skills and abilities:
- Effective communication skills (written, non-verbal & verbal)
- Able to function effectively as a team member
- Self motivated, uses own initiative and will make decisions
- Works well in stressful situations and able to respond effectively to challenging situations
