RFIC Design Engineer - Contract

We are offering a senior design position enabling you to join the creation of the next generation mobile phone chips.

The ability to analytically reason on different circuit topologies, based on an overview of the state-of-the-art, select the right architecture and tweak the right parameters to meet stringent criteria for these circuits is a must.

The candidate will design (IC design), simulate, layout and test integrated RF circuits in the 100 MHz to 15 GHz range in advanced CMOS (or similar) technologies. Subsystem design areas (Tx) may encompass a CMOS integrated PPA, PA, RFDAC, envelope modulator, LO distribution and (Rx) LNAs, RF filters (bandpass), Switches and duplexers for use in low power, highly integrated wireless RF transceivers or peripheral circuits.

He/she will also perform experimental verification and debugging, along with the integration of complex RF & Mixed Signal functions into system chips. Building accurate models based on layout extraction and 2D/3D modelling tools to match measurements with simulations is essential.Required Education and Experience:

- PhD is preferred or MSEE with equivalent experience
- Expertise in CMOS integrated (digitized or analog) Tx architectures, advanced Rx architectures, or the candidate should have several years of professional experience in analog CMOS IC design AND system modelling in eg Matlab.
- Product experience in any of these domains is a plus: Digital inspired RF transceivers, RF filters, RF duplexers, PA's, RF Frontends, envelope modulators, Switches
- Experience with Cadence Spectre, Virtuoso or other equivalent Agilent and/or Mentor tools is required.
- Ability to technically coach other team members.
- Good communication skills & team-player.
- Process oriented, ability to structure the RF design process
- Continuous strive for improvement in circuits and process.
- Detail oriented and determined
- Willing to relocate to Belgium, if applicable.
