THE BIG PICTURE - TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
- You will work with a multi-disciplinary team to develop novel RF sensing and communication technologies ranging from industrial environments to hospital settings.
- You will use your fundamental communication, signal processing and Embedded programming experience to model, simulate, instantiate and deploy advanced RF sensing and communication system.
- You will engage in small and large teams to help down-select competing technologies and systems architectures.
- You will apply your advanced signal processing and Embedded coding expertise to enable novel RF sensing systems supporting healthcare, industrial and energy related businesses. These applications could include but not necessarily limited to magnetic resonance systems, near & far-field electromagnetic measurement systems, Software Defined RADIO, Cognitive Radio, remote wireless monitoring, and physical attribute monitoring.
- You will advance RF sensing and wireless signal processing algorithms in support of various business and external agencies.
- You will be a part of a team of leading engineers and scientists and develop RF signal processing technologies in the fields of instrumentation, communications, controls, and healthcare
- You will work in a lab environment to develop concepts, models, prototypes, and Embedded platforms used for laboratory and field validation
- You will effectively communicate results by preparing written reports and making presentations to peers and management describing overall objective, systematic analyses, and conclusions
WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:
- Doctorate degree in Electrical Engineering degree or related disciplines or Master degree in Electrical Engineering or related disciplines with at least four (4) years related wireless communication, signal processing and RTOS experience
- Demonstrated understanding of Radio design which includes RF Receiver and Transmitter Systems Design, Impedance matching, Digital electronics and Embedded processing system design.
- Knowledge of Electro-Magnetic interactions with human tissue
- Understanding of RADAR Systems
- Understanding RF radio and wireless systems design
- Understanding of signal processing techniques for error correction, signature analysis and image reconstruction
- Demonstrated experience in the design, prototyping, build, and test of Embedded systems
- Familiarity with modelling software and programming tools such as Matlab, Simulink, LabVieW, IAR Systems, Keil, Code Composer Studio
- Working knowledge and use of relevant ADCs, DACs, FPGAs, Embedded microcontrollers, RFIC, and Wireless SoC
- Familiarity with open source software and hardware development tools such as Beagleboard, Arduino, USRP, and GNU Radio
Bonus Points! Otherwise Known As Preferred Qualifications:
- Doctorate in Electrical Engineering or a related Engineering discipline with emphasis on RF Signal Processing
- Demonstrated project leadership experience, including successful track of completing deliverables on schedule and on budget.
- Experience in RF subsystems and systems
- Industry experience in healthcare, industrial, or energy
- Experience and demonstrated success in the pursuit and execution of research grants and development contract with outside agencies
- Experience collaborating with global government research agencies and leading academic research organizations.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Ability to work across all functions/levels as part of a team.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
