Role: Senior RF test engineer

Location: Reading

Rate: £35 - £40 per hour

Duration: 4 months

A well known company has created a new position within its engineering department for a senior RF test engineer to work in the HW/RF teams.

This position has been created as the engineering manager has had a new and exciting project arise.

This company continues to grow and work on innovative products.

Therefore the contract is an initial duration of 3 months, with likely option to extend.

Key features

1) Design support (debugging and board bring up)

2) Characterising RF performance using ATE & manual Test

3) Integrating RF driver with L1 SW

4) Design/development of demo boards

5) Support to R&D teams and customers.

Experience With

1) RF systems development

3) RF integration (both hardware and software) in a telecoms environment eg WiFi, Mobile comms etc

4) Familiar with schematics and layouts in PADs,

5) Development of RF ATE using Python.

6) Knowledge of advanced telecom standard is preferred eg LTE, UMTS and/or WiMAX.

7) Hands on Practical soldering of small SMD components down to 0201 size
