RF Technician/Drive Tester

RF Technician/Drive Tester:
1. Main responsibilities:
- Activation tests of new indoor and outdoor 2G, 3G and LTE-sites.
- Optimisation tests for improvement of network quality.
- Perform indoor simulation measurements for new DECT customers.
- Perform drive tests for the ASTRID-network preventive maintenance campaign.
- General drive tests for customer and network trouble tickets.
- EMR and health-related live tests and simulations.
- Perform simulation measurements for possible new site candidates (indoor and outdoor).
- National benchmarking drive tests with specialised equipment.

These activities take place all over Belgium.

Main tasks are:
- Drive car with test equipment.
- Operating a TEMS, NEMO and SWISSQUAL drive test system.
- Drive test of air-interface: drive around in requested area, around new sites and close neighbours,

test of emergency numbers on all sectors/layers.
- Troubleshooting and on-the-spot analysis of network problems regarding air-interface and parameters

of the different network layers (UMTS 2100, UMTS 900, GSM 900 and GSM 1800) and take actions to
solve them to assure a smooth interworking.
- Set up of test sites for simulations and propose best technical solution (indoor, outdoor, macrocells,

picocells, DECT and WLAN).
- Post-processing, reporting of measurements and actions, and document the performed work.

2. Required profile:
Education:
- Graduate in Electronics and/or Telecommunication or equivalent experience.

Experience/skills:
- Very good knowledge of GSM and UMTS air interface, parameters and antenna systems.
- Experience with TEMS, R&S, SwissQual, Agilent measurement systems and Actix analysis systems.
- Experience in information and office applications.
- Drivers License B

Languages:
- Dutch, French and English.

- Able to work independently, and also with team
- Able to work precise and accurate
