RF Systems Engineer

RF Systems Engineer required to provide support to major projects and internal research in all aspects of defining, developing and qualifying radio frequency systems, in particular for communications and radar.

Typical activities will include:

RF system and sub-system specification, development and assessment, including:
Development of system and sub-system requirement documents.
Modelling of RF systems/sub-systems at propagation and component level.
Planning and attendance of trials.
Calculating and applying power budgets.
Liaising with customers, suppliers and wider weapon system integration experts.
Contributing to the delivery of RF systems and sub-systems throughout a weapon system's CADMID cycle.

The successful candidate will have the below skills:
Assessment of digital radio/radar sub-systems.
Analysing RF communications and radar performance in the presence of clutter (ground and weather) and sophisticated counter-measures.
Generation of test strategies.

Candidates must be willing to undergo a security vetting procedure.
