RF Test Engineer - 6m contract - £40 per hour.

I require an RF test engineer with experience of cellular or satellite communications for an exciting project for a company working in a niche space. You will be joining a small, specialised team supporting a major international client developing a high-profile product. This role is a mixture of onsite work near Cheltenham and home based.

Outline:

* Experience with ETSI and/or 3GPP specifications for RF and layer 1 testing of one or more mobile communication standards
* Definition of acceptance tests, system test plans, methodologies, requirements, procedures and traceability matrices for wireless communication systems
* Use of common RF components and test equipment in wireless test setups, including spectrum analysers, power meters and signal generators
* Power spectral density and phase noise measurements
* Generation of RF and physical layer test plans, requirements, procedures and test coverage cross-reference matrices
* Development of RF and physical layer test methodologies
* RF level budget analysis
* Hands-on execution of RF tests and measurements at ambient and under environmental test conditions
* Scripting and test automation

Although the role is primarily based in Gloucestershire, UK there will be some travel to meetings and client sites in the UK and abroad.
