RF Frontend Designer (f/m)

Harvey Nash are a global Professional Services provider in the areas of Technology and Engineering Recruitment and Outsourcing. For our client, a global Telecommunications company focussing on Mobile R&D we are looking for multiple RF Frontend PostSil Engineers TX/RX (2G/3G/4G) (f/m)

Project Start: ASAP

Project Length: 6 Months++

Location : Duisburg, Germany

Responsibilities :

- Understanding of previous and current modem platform environment, RF Frontend design and Chip architecture
- Understanding requirements (RF Frontend landing zone, key component list, layer stack, size, key performance indicator, RF requirements beyond 3GPP spec)
- Understanding calculation tools for RF Frontend concept Engineering
- Block diagram for functional proof (all features, bands, RATs of landing zone to be addressed)
- Power supply concept in modem platform environment
- Component assessment and selection (check availability, maturity, meeting performance requirement)
- Level plan for Receive and Transmit chain
- Transmit TX power control loop consideration (feedback receiver and attenuator design)
- Spurious and crosstalk calculations including chip and board impairments
- RF Frontend concept adaptions due to performance issues if required

Know how:

- Very good knowledge of RF system overviews
- Very good RF Design Expertise
- RF Platform Bring-up background
- RF transceiver TX OR RX architecture/block knowledg
- Communication / coordination / networking
- Test automation

Additional and nice to have skills:

- Degree in Engineering

Languages :

- Very good English is required for team communication and documentation.
