For our customer we are looking for a consultant who will be part of HW development team that is responsible for HW integration and reference design for Modem platforms. The consultant will work in a new team that works with troubleshooting and analysis of failed prototype boards.
Job description: The daily work includes troubleshooting and analysis of prototype boards that have failed during test in factory to understand the root cause of the failure. Propose and verify solution based on the analysis and inform the prototype factory the solution to be implemented on the remaining boards and follow up the outcome after implementation in the factory.
The job requires creating and reporting analysis report to HWI project to discuss actions required for further investigation.
The job requires an ability to quickly understand new problems and a flexible attitude where changes are embraced. The daily work is driven by HWI project requests and you could work in several projects in parallel.
A mindset to help and support HWI projects in the best possible way is crucial. It is an advantage to have an out-going attitude and great networking skills.
As a part of support interaction travels might be needed.
Required skills:
- 5 years experience of RF measurement techniques and custom to handle RF measurement instruments from Agilent and R&S
- 3 years of experience from RF sub-systems and/or Digital Base Band
- Experience from troubleshooting or design/verification of mobile devices
- Analytical and structured way-of-working is needed since boards with different failure signatures and from different builds must be handled in parallel
- High flexibility and service minded
- High level of social skills and easy to co-operate with
- Fluent in English, orally and in writing
- Experience from Idefix is highly valuable
- The ability to work hard and independently without explicit guidelines
- A positive attitude and a passion to reach the common goal
Preferred skills:
- Knowledge in products from mobile phone devices
- Good knowledge in schematics
- Education level: Engineering degree or similar
