Senior RF Engineer

Location: Friedrichshafen

The successful candidate will be tasked with the design of high power amplifiers, working on carbon Laser technology. Its global presence has research and development prowess in the aerospace, electronics and mechanical domains. The power levels are adjusted based on the product need with high pulse power.

Its Laser technology prints everything from consumer goods to security information.

You will be challenged in training the existing team of RF Engineers and hit the ground running with daily operations, and bringing your industry knowledge to the development of amplifier pallets.

Responsibilities for the position of Senior RF Engineer

- The development of amplifier pallets, making these increase their power voltage outputs and using LDmos devices to achieve that aim.
- The successful candidate will join the RF group to support and contribute to the designing and be progressing solid state high power 82MHz VHF amplifiers used to fuel Laser discharges.
- Combiner and coupling techniques and EMC compliance are required.

Requirements for the position of Senior RF Engineer

- Relevant Degree in Electronics with or focussing on RF/Microwave electronics or Mobile Communications.
- Have strong presentation and discussion skills
- Experience of high power amplifiers and LDmos
- Able to assess and evaluate outputs from ADS/Microwave Office
- The ideal candidate should have 5+ years of industrial design experience in a volume manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in the use of RF simulation tools such as ADS.
- Microwave Office is favorable.
- Experience in high power (1 to 20kW) circuit design.
