RF Design Engineer

RF Design Engineer to undertake detailed RF design for communications hardware including schematic capture, PCB layout, debugging and test of RF circuit cards.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the below tasks:

Undertake circuit level design of RF Hardware for filtering, noise suppression and interference cancellation.
Undertake prototyping and/or simulation, testing and debugging - at board level - RF, mixed signal, analogue and simple digital circuits.
Proficient in the use of test equipment including spectrum analysers, oscilloscopes and signal generators.
Provide full design documentation in line with company engineering process.
Understand the interface between digital and analogue domains and the trade offs between the two.

The successful candidate will have Extensive experience in hands-on development positions working on original designs of high reliability analogue and RF circuitry covering VHF and UHF in a formal, quality controlled environment. Experience of taking products from development into prototype production and supporting manufacture. Experience of communications transceiver architecture is an advantage.
