Revenue Management Officer

Revenue Management Officer required to contribute to the overall finance activities for this large-scale project in Sydney's CBD. Reporting to the Senior Revenue Management Officer you will be responsible for processing high volume transactions and reconciliations work in a fast-paced and busy environment.

DUTIES:

- Assess proposed settlement adjustments
- Investigate basis of proposed settlement adjustments and recommend approval or denial within specific timeframes
- Resolve settlement discrepancies
- Check for unexplained variances in settlement reports, reconciliation balances, transactions and other financial items
- Monitor customer refunds.
- Prepare daily cash and investments position report.
- Reconcile bank fees
- Reconcile end-of-period accounts
- Review daily reconciliations of card liability balances
- Maintain adequate records of activities, issues related to funds management to support contract management, process improvement and audit requirements

Background:

- Minimum 2+ years experience in a similar role with a proven ability to meet critical deadlines
- Extensive experience in reconciliation and analysis, with highly developed numeracy and accuracy skills and attention to detail
- DEMONSTRATED EXPERIENCE WORKING IN REVENUE/FUNDS MANAGEMENT, OR WITH FINANCIAL SETTLEMENT OPERATIONS (HIGH VOLUME, LOW VALUE TRANSACTIONS) OR SIMILAR IN A FAST-PACED ENVIRONMENT
- Highly developed investigative, analytical and problem solving skills
- Advanced computer, Microsoft Excel and accounting system skills, including experience with spreadsheets, databases, word processing, electronic communication, SAP finance modules, CODA general ledger and Crystal Reporting
- Excellent communication skills in a service oriented environment
- An accounting, commerce or business degree, or similar
