Retail & Wealth Credit Risk/Basel Analyst

Our financial services client requires a Retail & Wealth Credit Risk/Basel Analyst for a 3 month initial contract based in Halifax.

The Capital Requirements Directive (CRD), was designed to ensure the financial soundness of credit institutions and certain investment firms. Basel III - the latest proposals will be implemented into EU law through changes to the existing CRD - referred to as CRD IV The Retail and Wealth Credit Risk (RWCR) - CRD IV project is part of a mandated Group wide initiative. In the main, the initiative will provide an update to the existing Basel II requirements. Retail as an impacted Division will need to ensure it can address all relevant articles in the text that is to be ratified in November 2012.

Key responsibilities include:
* Senior Credit Risk Specialist capable of addressing impacts of regulatory changes
* Production and delivery of analysis and results to senior management level
* Engage with all relevant stakeholders to ensure buy-in to the solution design
* Ensure high quality and accuracy is maintained throughout the RWCR solution design
* Involvement in business process re-design and production of process documentation
* Give assurance to the relevant Stakeholders that the Retail solution is fit for purpose

Experience:
* Extensive Basel experience
* Project delivery experience
* Stakeholder management experience
* MI solutions and Regulatory experience
* Report writing, preparation and documentary skills
* SAS skills and previous modelling experience (preferable)
