JOB PURPOSE SUMMARY;

To manage the delivery of a Workstream/Pillar within the Retail SIM Programme, on time, in budget and to scope, contributing to Retails SIM Improvement target. This will include supporting various initiatives, implementations and working within the programmes overarching governance framework. Working with Project Managers, Initiative Leads and key business SMEs, the Delivery Manager will be responsible for the overall delivery of the stream they are responsible for. The Delivery Manager will be expected to define and manage these activities on a day to day basis, working alongside colleagues from the Thames Water business, other dependent programmes and a range of partner organisations.

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES/OUTPUTS

- Responsible for constructing and managing a Workstream/Pillar which has sufficient deliverables to fulfil the Mandate by working with stakeholders and the retail SIM Programme Team to forecast benefits and to agree how to close any forecasted performance gap, supporting the business to initiate agreed new activities.
- Responsible for supporting the Project Managers and Initiatives Leads of those activities within their designated Workstream/Pillar to ensure activities are delivered to time, cost, quality and benefits case
- Manage Workstream/Pillar RAID's throughout the life-cycle of the Programme. Act as a point of escalation for the Project Managers and Initiative Leads within their designated Workstream/Pillar
- Communicate with multiple stakeholders across the business, up to Director level, working with them to ensure the successful delivery of the Workstream/Pillar
- Create & maintain key materials required by the Programme, such as risk and issue management documentation, change requests, plans, status reports, financial & resourcing information.

Skills, qualifications, experience - minimum required

A proven track record of delivering business change projects

Hands-on project management experience with particular focus on shaping deliverables and driving the plan.

Experience in leading and coaching a team

Excellent communication, influencing and change management skills

A deep understanding of change management methodology

Strong management skills and experience of dealing with multiple stakeholder demands at short timescales

Experience of managing, influencing and presenting to senior stakeholders to drive decisions and address complex business problems

Experience within a retail and technology business chage programme, ideally water and/or utilities

Other relevant qualifications (eg Agile. MSP, APM, PMI, Prince2) are desirable
