About us

Part of the TUI Travel Group, Sunsail has been perfecting the ideal sailing holiday since 1976.

Sailing is like the way of life for Sunsail. Sunsail Club Vounaki offers something for everyone both on and off the water and is the perfect family holiday escape, especially for those looking to learn something new. We are passionate about watersports and offer a wide range of water-based activities for all guests, including dinghy sailing and qualifications, waterskiing, windsurfing and kayaking. Our Kid's Clubs cater for all ages from 4 months to 17 year olds, and our shorebased activities include tennis courts, fitness Studio and mountain biking.

Our season starts in April and ends in November. We have only full season positions available, however we are happy to accept applications for our reserve list from candidates who will become available during the season.

About the Role
To supervise and drive a small team to provide an efficient restaurant and bar service whilst delivering a high level of customer service, in a professional and friendly manner. To work as part of team both UK and local and show self-motivation when required to work individually.

About you

Essential:
- Previous experience in Food and Beverage delivery.
- Understanding of working within budgets
- A good knowledge of menu planning
- Be able to lead a team
- Ability to deal with customers
- Able to work under pressure
- Be able to use a computer
- Ability to work as a reliable member of the team
- Highly motivated individual
- Good communication skills - oral and written

Qualifications
- Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
- First Aid certificate
- IBT Level 3 or equivalent

Responsibilities
- Supervise the running of the bar and restaurant operation including the taking and delivery of orders
- Ensure that the bar and restaurant area comply with all company health and safety standards
- Ensure that all local and company policies are met regarding hygiene control
- Implement and supervise cleaning rota's for all bar(s), terrace, restaurant and surrounding areas
- Ensure wastage is kept to a minimum
- Carry out accurate stock takes
- Organise cellar/store rooms.
- Handling of cash and use of the cash register to provide accurate till readings.
- Ensure stock rotation is adhered too.
- Create an atmosphere, which encourages guests to use the bar to a maximum.
- Liaise with Restaurant and Bars Manager to ensure the operation is fully and appropriately staffed
- Manage staff welfare, morale and motivation by carrying out PDU's and managing under performing staff
- Liaise with Restaurant and Bars Manager to set targets, monitor products and review guest feedback
- Communicate with kitchen staff and restaurant staff to ensure co-operation
- To provide staff with induction and ongoing training
- Contribute fully to the overall running of the Club, by involvement with social events
- You may be required to move between different resorts according to operational needs
- You will be required to be flexible in your job role and willing to assist in all other duties requested by yourline manager.
