Resource Modeller/Design & Development/Data

Our Central Government Client require a Resource Modeller/design and development on a key programme of work. The role is based in Central London and will contract will run to November 2013.

The Central Government client recognises that in order to effectively plan for the changes associated with the transformation, it requires a robust mechanism in place to enable it to track and forecast the relationship between incoming workload volumes (which vary significantly but are showing an upward trend) and the resource required to manage them. This role will involve the design and development of the organisations resourcing model.

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
The duties will involve working with key business stakeholders across the organisation:
1. Establishing and developing an understanding of what models are currently in use across the organisation
2. Establishing an understanding, through working with business leads, of how those models operate
3. Determining what elements of the existing models should be retained or discarded
4. Designing and developing a "pan" model - where the relationship between incoming work and resourcing requirements can be clearly articulated
5. The model will also provide capability for scenario planning - looking at "what if"
6. Liaising with the Transformation programme in order to ensure the model is sustainable in the face of planned process and/or system changes
7. Design and implementation skills and knowledge transfer plan so that organisation has capability moving forward

You will also contribute to wider activity in terms of the development of plans generally in relation to organisation development, evolution and workforce planning.

Skills/Experience Required

Essential
1. Must have experience of having successfully designed developed and implemented a resource modelling process in an operational delivery environment
2. Excellent planning and organisation skills - demonstrably committed to delivery of quality products 3. Central Government experience

Desirable
1.Proven track record of working constructively with a range of internal stakeholders

EVALUATION CRITERIA
We need a person who has experience of working across a range of business functions, gathering data regarding workload volumes - and using that data to construct a method by which the organisation is able to plan its workforce requirements in accordance with workloads, current and projected
