Resource Consultant (Engineering)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Resource Consultant to join our Service Delivery team supporting our well established client within the engineering industry. Working from our London office you will manage a variety of recruitment activities and projects in this dynamic and busy account. Recruitment activity is varied and interesting; covering both Permanent and Interim roles and requires a high degree of customer and candidate contact both face to face and via telephone.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Responsibility for sourcing and managing candidates throughout the recruitment life cycle
- Manage direct candidate applications
- Passive candidate attraction
- Providing a consultative service to line managers sharing market trends and analysis
- Participate in regular hiring manager meetings to discuss resource plans and recruitment needs
- Maintaining high levels of customer service and service quality procedures
- Conduct all recruitment activity in accordance with relevant policies and procedures
- Maintain all vacancy data on a Applicant Tracking system and external/internal job boards
- Manage all roles through a customised portal
- Coordinate interviews and feedback between the customer and candidates
- Ensure all administration data is completed accurately and efficiently
- Perform other duties as required by the needs of the business

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

ESSENTIAL

- A proven record in recruiting permanent candidates ideally gained in an engineering, power or transport environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a collaborative and consultative manner partnering with Hiring Managers throughout the recruitment process
- Good working knowledge of the Microsoft office suite of applications (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)

DESIRABLE

- Previous experience of working in an on site or in an in house recruiter role
- Other industry relevant professional qualification

This is a 6 months fixed term contract with the opportunity to become permanent.
