A fantastic opportunity now exists to join our ambitious and progressive organisation as a Part Time Resident Liaison Officer based in Exeter. You will be required to spend time conducting many site visits, supporting the Housing Management Team in with the proactive management of the defects process. Your aim will be to increase resident confidence and satisfaction, identify new opportunities and remove barriers to community engagement.

The Resident Liaison Officer will be the link between contractor, residents and Sovereign Housing during the phase of identifying defects. You will ensure a timely response to all resident and customer queries, coordinating response to any complaints and maintain the completion of work needed. You will build up a local knowledge of the area, liaising with the New Neighbourhoods Officers, making informed decisions and embedding good neighbour relations which will help develop a strong community spirit. You will assist in the development of action plans to address issues such as the provision of services for older people and low level antisocial behaviour.

To be a success in the role of The Resident Liaison Officer you will have a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, and have the ability to keep accurate records and provide regular monitoring reports. Strong customer service and communication skills are essential. Previous experience in a Housing Management role or Knowledge of property defects would be adventurous.

Due to the travel requirements of the role a full driving licence and access to your own transport is essential.
