Aufgaben:

The Resident Engineer (RE) serves as the onsite PoC to the customer, handling both technical and project related tasks. 

· Entry point for defects and changes

· Support for SW releases

· First tier support for technical issues and escalating additional support as required

· Support offsite workshops and testing activities (on system level)

The RE reports to the Program Manager and dotted to the Country Manager.

Detailed activities and tasks:

Technical:

· Technical customer support as directed by the HQ or as requested by the customer

· Perform system SW updates at customer''s sites (engineering facilities and plants) using relevant tools and infrastructure

· Support troubleshooting of bench and assembly plant issues

· Support system validation and testing:

· Test system at customer''s bench and in customer vehicles

· Validate system''s performance with accordance to the agreed specifications

· Write detailed defect reports of any anomalies found; defects have to be sufficiently precise and include recorded data to allow effective problem resolution

· Act as a “first pass filter” to identify duplicate defects and defects outside of the scope of the system (e.g. separate defects from change requests)

· Demo new product releases and SW features

Project:

· Support the Program Manager with any project need

· Valuable team member of the project''s core team

· Understand and document new customer requirements using a requirements management tool (CodeBeamer)

· Support management and negotiation of  customer requirements, change requests, and unwritten expectations

· Support project documentation:

· System requirements specification

· System test plan

· Customer change requests

· Release documentation (SW release notes, system release notes etc.)

· Documentation Configuration management (release numbering and labeling, etc.)

· Other documents as needed

· Support creation and tracking of:

· 8D reports

Skills:

· MS Office tools (incl. MS Project)

· Experience with requirements and defect tools (e.G. PTC, DOORS)

· Experience with customer support tools (such as Jira, Confluence, ...)

· Other relevant OEM tools

Other Requirements:

· Relevant work experience of at least 8 years

· Automotive experience highly preferred; at least 4 years
