Resident Engineer (m/w)

For an international Automotive supplier we are looking for a Resident Engineer (m/f):

Duration: 24 months with the option of extension
Location: Köln
Start: asap

Tasks:
* Position 3D parts in the according package location (bumper or body) with the usage of Catia
* Create 3D sections if required (mostly during design phases)
* Carry out package analysis acc to the customer and the clients Requirements
* Usage of the customer E2KS system as 3D issue tracking management
* Support the customer Packaging meetings during design phase
* Update or create 2D drawings according latest customer drafting standards
*Coordinate 3D data exchange with home base (send data to homebase via OEM)
* Follow the CAD release Process (CN Folder creation, PPM delivery)
* Align and work together with the relevant customers D&R engineer
* Align and work together with the relevant client Team members
* Organize and create change management deliverables (eg. request QOPs at sales, sw documentation, Timings etc.)
* Upload sw release files to the customers sharedrive - lead on all the customers internal documents
* Lead OPD projects (B/C/CD/VCar) in terms of change management including the customers plant onsite support
* Support AAR process [1] present new/modified EDM/painted parts (sensors+brackets) to Design Quality team and in olor harmony events
* Distribute project information to homebase, work closely together with project management team and align on strategies
* Support on product quality - help to achieve the best possible quality standard and consider that on all business related actions
* Support the client and customer on vehicle test if required
* Carry out basic functional tests on bench (Tools: CANoe, …)
* Support Re-flash actions if required
* Basic knowledge of vehicle electrical architecture welcome
* Analyze system tickets after adjustment on the job

Skills:
* Act as technical liaison between the client and customer
* Provide technical support and assistance to the customers engineering
* Represent the clients R&D at customer technical meetings (request support from home base is required)
* Co-ordinate all activities to manage integration and application of the clients systems to the end-clients vehicle programs
* Analyse reported technical (but also other) issues and if required work closely together with the client and customer to resolve
* If required follow the 8D process for resolution
* Work closely together with the clients logistics/plant team to support customer in best manner
* English
* Autonomous working
