Reservoir Engineer-Houston-Corporate Reserves

Reservoir Engineer-Corporate Reserves is urgently needed to fill a position in Downtown Houston with an independent energy company.

Progressive Global Energy & Natural Resources specializes in delivering first-rate professionals to the Oil & Gas industry. I work specifically with Reservoir Engineers and have been hired to execute an executive search to fill this role as soon as possible.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Evaluate and maintain reserves for company assets for internal and external reporting purposes
* Perform reservoir analysis using decline curve analysis, volumetric estimation and material balance methods
* Provide engineering support in evaluating acquisition candidates in support of company A&D activities
* Prepare quarterly company reserve reports and coordinate annual reserve valuations with the company's outside engineering consultants
* Review monthly lease operating statements and prepare variance reports from reservoir engineering database

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:

* A strong background in reserve evaluations, including all standard methods of evaluation
* Solid background in SEC reserve definitions and public company reserve reporting requirements
* Strong analytical skills and ability to process and analyze large data sets using latest technology
* Strong business skills and ability to review and analyze lease operating statements
* Proficient in MS Excel, Aries,Petra, Spotfire, Fekete RTA, MS Access and other analyses software applications

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:

* B.S. or M.S. in Petroleum Engineering or equivalent
* o 10+ years' experience or equivalent education and/or experience
