Reservoir Engineer-Corporate Development

Reservoir Engineer is urgently needed to fill a position inHouston,TXwith a midsized domestic E&P company.

Progressive Global Energy & Natural Resources specializes in delivering first-rate professionals to the Oil & Gas industry. I work specifically with Reservoir Engineers and have been hired to execute an executive search to fill this role as soon as possible.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide reservoir engineering support on the Reserves Team, specifically in the evaluation of quarterly reserve additions and ceiling test summary reports, reconciliations, roll-forward reports, and sensitivity analyses.

Meet regularly with the operating divisions to understand the technical challenges associated with each play

Review quarterly reserves data to ensure accuracy and SEC Regulation compliance. Verify consistency and completeness of reserves via decline curve, material balance, volumetric or probabilistic analysis. Compile operating expense and price differential data and review for accuracy.

Provide reserve's support documentation to outside auditing firm as requested.

Assist in developing and advocating the corporate standard reserves reporting guidelines and procedures.

Assist Business Development Team with future acquisitions and dispositions.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Preference B.S. in Petroleum Engineering).

Legally authorized to work in the United States on a regular full-time basis without restrictions.

Minimum of 5 years of direct experience in reserves evaluation including quarterly / year-end reporting and good working knowledge of SEC Regulations and reporting requirements.

Advanced, thorough knowledge and understanding of Aries and Microsoft Access and Excel applications.

The successful candidate will have strong technical and interpersonal skills with the proven ability to coordinate multiple initiatives, the ability to function independently and provide credible results in an expeditious manner, and excellent written / verbal communication skills.
