RESEARCH SCIENTIST needed for a CONTRACT position with Yoh's client located in GAITHERSBURG, MD.

- Expertise in state-of-the-art molecular biology techniques

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Research opening for an Associate Scientist II/Scientist I within the Antibody Discovery and Protein Engineering Department to support pre-clinical research of innovative therapeutic products.
- Expertise in state-of-the-art molecular biology techniques is critical. The candidate will be part of an interactive team focused on developing multispecific antibody technology to contribute to multiple pre-clinical programs.
- Extensive and current hands-on experience in phage and/or yeast display, cloning, nucleic acid purification, PCR, site directed mutagenesis, mammalian cell culture, protein expression and purification techniques.
- Knowledge of analytical techniques including SDS-PAGE/CGE, column chromatography, ELISA, and preferably biosensor techniques.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- BS degree with six (6) or more years experience; Masters degree with two (2) or more years of relevant experience or PhD.
- Experience with standard computer productivity software as well as specific scientific applications desired.
- Good communication and documentation skills are essential. The candidate must be well organized and keep excellent written records of their work.
- The candidate must be able to communicate clearly in oral and written form with the supervisor and various project team members.
- The candidate must be able to plan and carry out complex experiments with minimal supervision.
